  • How do i copy and paste composite mode?

Posted by Emmet Reddy on September 10, 2008 at 9:43 am

Hi all does anybody know how to add a composite mode lets say soft light to multiple clips. like if i add a filter to a clip i simply copy it, then select paste attributes and im able to apply it to multiple clips, can i do the same with the composite mode or do i have to do it one at a time.
Oh bye the way when it works it creates a nice effect gives your video a nice film style effect.
    anyone got any advice?
    Thanks Emmet

    Hi Emmet,
“Soft light” in not a mode available in FC, and as long as I know there is no way to copy and paste modes.
Will be interesting if the “mode” would be treated as any other attribute.
    Cheers,
    Rafael

Emmet, unfortunately you can’t copy and paste it although I wish you could.

What you can do is select all the clips, right click one of them and change the comp mode there. Handy when all the clips are in one track and all together, it isn’t when your clips are strewn about the timeline.

[Emmet Reddy] ” except when you go across transitions it wont work?”

The transitions can’t have composite modes added to them would be my guess.
