Is it a consumer model? Then you won’t get 30.0. You need a professional HD flat panel monitor to view 30.0 material.

Thats not MY tv but its the model we have. okay so what would you do? 29 or 30?

SInce you need to deliver @ 30.0, I’d edit at 30.0.
If you want to watch it on TV, export your 30.0 timeline and then open that exported movie in Cinema Tools and conform to 29.97 to watch it on tv.

Hey Jeremy… I had another question you know how last night you were saying that the monitor I have since its consumer cant handle 30fps? Is this only when playing out of FCP? Because i can take a SEQ that i have rendered out of FCP at uncompressed 30fps and open/play it through aja tv.

30.0 through AJA TV on to your monitor is what you are saying? In AJA TV, which output is checked under the ‘Display’ menu when you have the movie loaded in?

ohh well its set to AJAKona 720p 59.94
SO i guess then it is not playing on the tv at 30fps..
Interesting…So does that mean that the change is so different that is almost goes unnoticed? Because I know when watching the Finals on AJA tv that are rendered out in 30fps with final audio.. I never noticed anything off with the audio even though apperently we were outputting them to the TV at 59.94
