Hardware Specs for a mobile video editing workstation
Hi All, I;m trying to create a compariosn chart between Lenovo, Dell and HP for mobile work stations for video editing. What specs do you enjoy with your laptop or desktop for vidoe editing? I understand CPU and GPU are most importnat for rendering in DR so it seems an Intel iCore 7 if not an i9 is key -vs- Xeon, with 4 or 6 or 8 cores, # threads? CPU speed – 27 GHz? GPU – NVIDEA Geoforce enough or is a Quadcore really needed? Has anyone found a good site for testing labs results which tests CPUs, GPUs, motherboards – the 3 most important considerations for rendering? I’d like to read what difference it makes to have a 4 core -vs- 8 core CPU and difference between a 4 GB VRAM GPU -vs- 8 GB VRAM GPU. Thanks so much.
