What render setting were you using in Vegas 9? Unfortunately, Sony keeps moving them around making it difficult for customers to find them especially between Sony AVC and MainConcept AVC. Maybe we can help you find the one you’re looking for.

WMV is worse than MP4!!! You NEVER want to edit WMV files in Vegas Pro. Vegas can’t even handle the audio from this format and has to build audio proxies. WMV should only be used as a delivery format with Vegas Pro.
