Garbage matte or cropping
I can’t find a garbage matte in motion 2. is there a crop function that anyone knows about?

Heya,
All objects in Motion (images, shapes, text, etc) have a Crop option in the Properties tab of the Inspector. Also, you can draw an arbitrary shape mask (matte) on anything, using the masking tools found in the Canvas toolbar.
Typing ‘crop’ or ‘matte’ into the search field of the manual (found in the Help menu) would tell you much of this 🙂
