FWIW, I think James hit the nail on the head.
[James Mortner] “Stop Press – Editor has bad experience with software package then writes
angry blog post”
No conspiracy theory here – just a bad day and a need to vent. Anyone that’s been in the industry for more than a year understands that the angry blog post could have been written about any software. If you’ve never done battle with an software application you’re not trying hard enough. -

May 7, 2010 at 5:31 pmI said “I wonder”, not that I was sure that the collusion was going on. I am sorry if I offended you. But i do remember back in the early 2000’s when FCP was starting to come into it’s own, that some in the established AVID community at the major Atlanta post houses, would say anything to bad mouth FCP!

I cant understand the issues he is having with autosave. I have it set for every ten minutes, and it has never failed. (i wonder if anyone told him he has to go into the autosave vault to get the saved version?)
I just went on an avid after 8+ years of FCP, and there is stuff i miss i wish avid would do. like undoing the whole project, instead of just timeline functions…
oh well
