Final Cut Pro Update?
Posted by Greg Jones on May 1, 2008 at 8:36 pmIt’s been a while since Apple has released a real update to Final Cut Pro. I’m wondering what’s going on. It’s been even longer since Apple has come out with an update to DVD Studio Pro. It’s either a sign that Apple’s slowing down developement of Final Cut Studio or they’re coming out with a completely re-written bad-ass version. Any Comments.

No… Apple just placed FCS on the back burner until they could finalize Final Cut Server software. Now that the cats of the bag… I’m sure they’re back at it now.

May 1, 2008 at 9:01 pmI’m going to wait until mid June to comment. It just seems like some update (even though it might be a small one) is coming in May.

May 1, 2008 at 9:29 pmWait, didn’t you get the FCP 7 update yet? It’s great. Real time everything. Does Blu-Ray right from the time line and even makes a pretty good latte 🙂

I really pissed about the milk to coffee ratio in my lattes. I think the latte feature could use a bit less milk and a bit more coffee. But, considering we’re only at 7.0, I guess I’ll reserve judgement until after the first update.
BTW, I thought Walter’s revision of the OI/HD with the coffee feature not only made much better latte, but its onboard processing significantly reduced brewing time and caffiene withdrawl.

May 2, 2008 at 1:43 amHas anyone tried the Nattress Decaf Low-Fat filter yet? I’ve heard it’s much more powerful, versatile and delicious than the Trapcode Mocha Half-Caf filter.
