I’ve heard from one of my best friends/collegues who talked with the editing-teacher in one of the 4 Main Film Schools in Belgium that they are teaching students FCPX.

They used to teach FCP7, and still let students who are in the last years and want to, continue making projects in 7, but they teach all new students X.

The teacher, an Avid an FCP7 guy, said that he used to be sceptical to X, including the ‘automatisation’ that he saw in the program. But he said: “I’ve never really felt that X had it wrong though….”

I wouldn’t completely agree with the last part, but I also switched 100 percent to X, and the company where I do freelance work also did (based on my recommendation) and we are very satisfied.
Nice to see it also being teached to new students.
