October 21, 2013 at 7:03 pm[Andy Branner] “I see I forgot to mention the rather sad ad hominem, vitriolic attacks that come with the territory also, since actual or real argument instead are few and far between once you hold the mirror up too high. :)”
There was nothing ad hominem in my post, I merely logically reversed your absurd posting. IF the “cushies” were all that, THEN you, an avowed non-cushie, should be the reverse.
I don’t know anything about you or your work, I just know that your post would be insulting if I took it seriously. I don’t see how you could expect a more “real” argument starting with the nonsense you posted.
There are many reasons why editors either like or don’t like any NLE. Those reasons can be logical, emotional, irrational, financial, and or aesthetic. If you want to articulate what your reasons are for working the way you do, I’d be pleased to listen and learn. When you invent strawmen arguments for the purpose of making yourself feel superior, I will be pleased to p*ss all over your postings.

October 21, 2013 at 7:10 pm[Andy Branner] “[Chris Harlan] “read the post to which Herb was responding to if you want to see “sad ad hominem, vitriolic attacks.”
LOL… sure.
Like I said… that awful, awful mirror. 🙂
“Just saying “I know you are, but what am I?” over and over again doesn’t fly. Well, at least not in this playground.

October 21, 2013 at 8:00 pmThanks, Charlie. I really don’t in general. I would just like them to have even a glancing understanding of any foreign phrases they use in their correspondence. Probably (definitely) too much to ask.

October 21, 2013 at 10:15 pmNot professional…let’s see, we got a California State Senator, California State Assembly member,
US Congressional candidate and numerous California county Supervisors elected using FCPX, several state wide initiatives passed, as well as several multi-million dollar bond issues passed, again all using ONLY FCPX.If these candidates, municipalities and the state of California trust FCPX with their respective fates and $, I believe we can deduce that it is a pro app.

October 21, 2013 at 11:21 pmThat would be one interpretation. More like “don’t let copying this disk make you sad.”
