Encoding captions into mpeg2 file.

January 27, 2023 at 9:25 amFor the past years I’ve encoded an .mcc file with an mpeg2 for closed captions.
The old VideoReDo software has worked for this task. However, it won’t complete an encode lately. And it’s seemingly an EOL from quite some time ago.
I’ve tried generating the .mcc files directly from PPro export. Or have made an .srt file and converted with REV. Neither is working at this point.
So the obvious question, who is using what? I want an onboard software, no cloud, no online.

You can try ccConvert that does that as well. Unfortunately, it is also end of life, but might be enough to do what you need. It will insert the captions as DTV/CC and SMPTE ANC stream from MCC.
Cheers, James
