I wanted to say “Let’s pretend the Blue and Red colors are videos.” Sorry.

Hang in there with me, because I’m still confused as to what you want to happen with these videos!

If the red is the same shape as the green, then one is going to cover up the other, aren’t they? Unless you want to fade from one to the other something like the green graphic turning to red and maybe back to green on the blue background.

Try to explain this to me one more time please.

    Best Regards…..George

I want to create a custom fade effect, to fade from one video to the other. the effect is basically squares appearing from the center, to the corners, and back to the center.

The way I thought of doing it, is to put all my 70 pictures that the fade consist of on top of the video I want to fade out of, export it, then import it back when both the green squares and the video are one clip, then apply the Chroma Key on top of it so the squares would become transparent, so that that part of the video would fade out into the next part of the video.

OK, I think I have it!

Make your red video the same as your green graphic except it will be in red. Put the green on top, the red next below it and the blue on the bottom. on the middle track (red) header right click and select insert envelop and composite level. This will place an envelop on the middle track that you can adjust the opacity from 100% down to nothing (disappear) over whatever time span you wish, or go from zero to 100%. This is effectively fading in and out the event you have placed on this track.

No insert a composite envelop on the top track and adjust it in the reverse of your middle track. You can adjust these to fade in then fade from one to the other and then both fade out is you like.

Then you can end up with the graphic exploding green to transitioning to red and then the graphic collapsing.

Or, you could fade in the green, transition to red, then fade out the red.

Or, you could add more layers and more fades and transitions using the envelopes, with the combination being almost endless, and only needing 1 render.

I’m not sure I have explained this clearly.

Well, they way you said it, seems like you haven’t quite understood what I’m going for, so give me a sec.

    Rafal,

First, I’m not impatient and I’m not a noodle, but that was funny, Thank You. The reference “No=Now” wasn’t to your reply “Well, they way you said it, seems like you haven’t quite understood what I’m going for, so give me a sec.“, rather it was to my previous post which in part I said “No insert a composite envelop on~~~“. As I can’t edit the previous post I was correcting the word “No” at the beginning of the sentence, to what it should have been “Now”, so therefore the reference No = Now. Sorry if you thought I was being impatient, which is farthest from the truth.

OK, back to the sample you provided in the zip file. As you have it in your previously posted still graphic files, if you want to animate something like that just put them on a green background, or blue or any color that will not conflict with the color of your graphics. Insert them into the top track, and run them at the speed you wish, that’s it, again 1 render is all that is necessary.

BTW, what application did you use for the example you provided? Seems to me if that example is what you want, you already have the results! Apparently you want to do this in Vegas Pro, and the graphics of your example are just that an example, not what you actually want to use in your project.

This is pretty simple animation and I do not see the need for multiple renders. Is there something else I have missed?

    Best Regards…..George

Vegas, and the problem lies in all those pixels that appear all over the video after multiple renders. I shall try to do it your way, once I get some sleep.

I understand, as there is about 14 hours difference in our time zones. While you are sleeping I’ll make a sample for you to view in the morning.
