Is this MXF wrapper DNxHD (as originally available on commercial basis) or Quicktime DNxHD?

November 16, 2011 at 8:26 pmHi Sascha,
Im thinkin about switching to a shared database, sounds great for the second workstation.
How happy are you with it?How was the transition?
Can one Mac be the database holder+Davinci and the other just a client or does it have to be a seperate
Mac?thanks
best

November 16, 2011 at 11:14 pmHi, there are significant ‘performance and stability improvements’ in 8.1.1.
You should upgrade. Before you do, back up the database using the back up button in the database manager.. there should be no problem with the projects being read in the 8.1.1 from the previous 8.1 version so this backup is just another precaution for your valuable work.

November 17, 2011 at 11:14 amThat’s the point.
I’ve always been a hardcore AJA fan, and I wouldn’t have ever switched to BM if it wasn’t for DaVinci.
BM did the right move and they’re taking over the pro market, now they’re perceived as “pro” and not “prosumer” as before. -

November 17, 2011 at 5:17 pmI’d feel a whole lot better about having paid $995 if I was using Resolve’s noise reduction, one of the features not available to Lite users. I’m still using Neat Video which I find has superior results.
Cheers,
Gerry
