November 28, 2012 at 12:46 amHey Luke,
Not sure if the issue has been fixed, I haven’t tried to use CUDA in a bit.
If you’re stuck in a death loop make sure you haven’t reactivated ‘automated graphics switching’ from the energy saver preferences. That was really the only part of this string of errors that would causing Premiere to go in nuclear death crashing spirals.
If that doesn’t work and you’re not able to switch to software acceleration I would try:
– Opening a new project, changing to software acceleration and then quitting and trying to open your project again.
– Importing your project into a new project.
– I also believe you can dump your Premiere preferences if you open the program while holding down the shift key.

December 1, 2012 at 7:08 amThanks for the information Carlos. I really appreciate your time.
There is a bug logged on the issue and we’re working on a fix with Nvidia.
Luke – If the other solutions didn’t do the trick you can also temporarily remove the GeForce GT 650M from the CUDA supported card list.
Also, do you have steps to how you got the program into this state?
Help this is helpful.

March 26, 2013 at 6:37 pmHello All,
Have any fixes for the issues presented here been discovered in the last several months that I should be aware of? Just purchased a new rMBP and am running Premiere 6.0.2 and with CUDA 5.0.45 installed. Here are the system specs:
– 756gb SSD
– 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
– 16 GB Ram
– NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
– OS X 10.8.3I’m experiencing serious playback issues and crashes in premiere on both internal and exteranal display with both CUDA or OpenCL enabled. With CUDA playback the monitor window turns black, freezes white, or gets replaced with content from other windows that are open. It generally works great for a few minutes when I first open premiere, but then everything wigs out. The timeline and audio will play, but no video shows up. This generally causes the source window to freeze up as well. In OpenCL, both the windows turn into digital glitching as soon as I open up premeire. This has happened while testing RED 4k as well as Canon 5D MKiii 1080 footage. The only way premiere is running smoothly is through the software only mercury playback. I’ve disabled graphics switching, etc. and tried any fixes I’ve found so far, but no luck.
Here’s another link to a similar forumn on Creative Cow that is discussing the same issue I’m having.
https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/3/930479Any info would be awesome. I have another few days to decided if I want to keep the computer or not with a full refund from Apple, so I’m trying to resolve any issues.
