So it’s looking like a combination of Resolve/AMD-OpenCl/MacOS.
I’ve done a bunch of testing with different cards and operating systems and that’s my conclusion, and opinion. Having a buddy with Titans in MacOS confirm some things, but it’s really looking that way.
So if you have a New Mac Pro you don’t have the option to switch cards, and resolve is not working great. and if it is an openCL/Apple thing – well then, no fix in sight. likely they could care less…

I’m so glad I switched to Windows about a year ago. Words I thought I would NEVER utter, yet, are now true.

I was this close to as well a couple days ago but got talked off the ledge. Building a second Mac pro system and putting Nvidia in it. To bad NMP users don’t have the option to switch.

It’s really not bad. I was a total hardcore Mac guy (for probably 15 years) with the typical hatred of a Windows OS that I’d actually not used in a long time. The OS is different and you do have to be patient to adapt to it, but the hardware options are just too great to ignore.

I’ve got a 40-core Xeon machine with THREE Titans INSIDE, plus Decklink and 10Gb ethernet card. The machine is far more powerful and more expandable than any Mac Pro and cost the same as the top end MP tube.
