I was going to put a post about the preview color shift in AspectHD projects in PPro 2.0 and CS3. I actually DID discuss this and some other issues with Cineform Support, and other AHD problems I’ve been having, like notbeing able to import m2t files into a PPro CS3 project (I get a [../../SRC time.ccp-105] error code. Same as when I try to open a PPro 2.0 project in PPro CS3.
I got nothing in response, and was actually told to check out Adobe support….but here, I read someone else is having exactly the problem.
I read your response, but I’m still confused. I’m not sure how to calibrate the Nvidia card, and I’ve tried every option in AspectHD…and NOT having video playback makes for very tough editing. I’ll play around with it, but I have been cutting HDV in PPro hdv projects, not AspectHD for that very reason — the huge color shift in video preview. Also, everyone time I reload PPro CS3 I lose every AspechHD effect, like cross dissolove or page turn.

October 5, 2007 at 11:20 pmThat crash is Adobe’s, if get those reports at CineForm we typically do forward them on to Adobe. Anything that states something like “[../../SRC time.ccp-105]” should be forwarded onto Adobe.
M2T importing issue into Adobe, is weird, we don’t add or remove support for native editing or M2T, we recommend converting M2T files to CineForm AVI using HDLink.
NVidia setup is that your NVidia card control panel, not through Aspect. In fact you calibrate you NVidia card without having Aspect HD installed. Open two video windows of the same video sequence (you will need Media Player Classic as WindowMediaPlayer won’t open two windows.) The first window will use the overlay, the second will not. With these windows open you can access the NVidia control to calibrate the Overlay surface only. NVidia control is accessable through the Advanced tab of Display Option control panel. Often NVidia installs a separate untility to set up the card, although that differs between models.
I don’t unstand the reload issue, are say a re-install of Premiere, that take ages, avoid that if you case. You will need to uninstall-reinstall Aspect HD if you do that to Premiere, fortunately the Aspect HD installer only takes a minute.

October 6, 2007 at 2:06 pmThanks. I’ll try to calibrate the overlay card to see if that helps. The loading an old 2.0 project in CS3 is tied with the m2t files, would be my guess. It’s the same error code.
