No, they are coming from my HVX200, so no AVC-Intra. The mystery continues.

How did you re-install your system after the crash?

I had cloned my hard drive back in May, so I used Migration Assistant to load from my external drive. It didn’t work that great though. The programs all imported fine, but things like pictures and music all had to be moved over by hand. I’ve looked in the HD-Library-Quicktime from my old back up, and everything is the same same as the new drive. The biggest difference is that my old drive was OS 10.4.11, and when I got the computer back from Apple it had 10.5.5 on it.

It sounds the 10.4. restore on your 10.5 system messed some things up.

You should install the entire system from scratch. Initialize the hard disk when installing the new system so all old data gets deleted.

I’m not to keen on doing that, as I don’t have the OS 10.5 disk to install from and I don’t want to go back to OS 10.4. I can still open the files via quicktime or P2CMS so it’s not that big of a deal. Just one extra step.

I doubt you will notice more problems when you keep working with this system.
