January 27, 2009 at 7:49 pmCan you please give me a screen grab of your HardDrive > Library > Quicktime folder?

January 27, 2009 at 7:59 pmI’m a fool.
Did you have MXF4mac or Calibrated installed on your machine before?

January 27, 2009 at 8:12 pmNow that I think about it yes, I think you do need one of those to look at files in the finder like that. You would have paid for either one of them.
I have MXF4mac so that’s why I can see it.

January 27, 2009 at 8:49 pmFunny, but after looking at both the MXF4Mac and Calibrated websites, I don’t remember ever downloading and (especially) paying for either program. I’m sure I had some free plug-in, I just don’t know what it was. Oh well, I guess I’ll just take the extra step and open the files up in either quicktime or P2CMS.
Thanks -

January 27, 2009 at 11:02 pmCould this be an OSX viewing preference?
I’m on an older OS here so I can’t check until later, but aren’t there options as to whether the finder shows thumbnails or generic icons?

January 28, 2009 at 5:46 pmHi Kara,
you see the “MXF4QT Import.component” file? That’s from us, maybe you downloaded the free demo. If not maybe you have a full version that has expired because it was not activated.
You can send me the file and I will check this out for you.
Thanks

January 29, 2009 at 5:01 pmAre those MXFs AVC-Intra clips? In this case you also need the AVC-I decoder from Panasonic.
