[Russel Labadie] “Could the ACTIVATE MULTI-CHANNEL MAPPING check box in Render window be of any use…?”

Oh yea. I’m sorry I forgot to mention that because it was already checked on my system. You need to have this checked and then you need to press the Channels… button and specify how you want to map the channels. (sorry)

Finally, i can match the project properties
to the rendering settings in the .mxf 4 audio channels,
using the ACTIVATE MULIT CHANNEL MAPPING…

I noticed that no matter how many channels you demand
in the render settings audio tab, the .mxf render will always be
an 8 channel audio .mxf except if you go for
one audio channel in render settings or 5.1 in project properties
and specify 6 channels in render settings…

    My question is:
Should i add an empty stereo audio track to the project,
and assign it to a stereo bus,
then map it as track 3 & 4 in MULTI CHANNEL MAPPING…?
Will that confuse the the TV Stations when they read out the MXF.?

And a Vegas9 question that i asked earlier:
In render settings, there’s the PROPERTIES TAB,right after audio…
is it better to use USE PROJECT PROPERTIES or (BEST)OPTIMIZED…?

Thnaks in advance for your time…

    Russel
