That is a screenshot of a video clip im using atm. As you can see because it was a very sunny day, there are issues with contrast & brightness. I’ve tried tweaking such settings in adobe premiere but I havent been happy with the results so far. Sure i can darken the image and in turn make some of the details stand out and reduce eye strain but the image looks dull and eventually lifeless.

Could anybody provide post-production advice for premiere 1 to help correct such bright video?

    Thanks again!

It appears that the scene was so over-exposed that all detail in the bightest areas has been lost. There is probably no way to adjust the scene so it looks “normal” – the highlights have no data to work with.

    Bummer.

Thanks for the replies Dave & Martin. I was worried that the original would be so bad that I couldnt do anything but ill try the level adjustments. I did actually fiddle about with those settings but just found it greyed the video and lost the dynamic colour ranges. Will give it another go however:)
