Blu Ray Color Space
I am having a hard time understanding what the color relationship is in a HD video and a Blu-ray disc. Working with SD footage and now learning about HD I always assumed HD was useing a NTSC single and I would color correct using FCP NTSC scopes. I would then burn my HD footage on a blu-ray disc.
the more I dig the more confused I get and it seems that HD footage is not NTSC dependent if I go from Blu-ray to HD monintor?
Is a blu-ray disc using a NTSC single and there by its color space? If HD and Blu-ray has a better color depth or range then SD video then I would assume that I would not color correct it using a NTSC NTSC scopes and parameters.
It seems applying a NTSC color space to a HD blu-ray single would be dumbing it down.
Sorry for how dumb this question is!
