    Aww. Alas my Vegas 12 does not open avi.
    Strange that I thought avi was safe.
    I tried to convert, but it took rather a long time.

    In Vegas Pro 13.0 x64 HAPPENS THE SAME BUG!!!

    I’ve registered in the forum only to comment this problem, ’cause I am completely disappointed about buying this product by the moment.

    Considering that developers of Sony Vegas is a brand with many years of experience in the field (although this issue demonstrate the opposite) I consider it something completely absurd and beyond logic that any user can not load an AVI file (one of the most used today and has always been well formats) in the program, and to get an AVI work in the program first the user must spend time looking at sites, forums, etc… to get “third-party solutions” such as that all you can see on this topic. There is any “known problem” or something similar in all the f*cking CHM help files of the Software, this is totally bad and I spent a lot of time to solve this issue.

    What you did, Sony? …really, what are you doing? when will you decide to solve this bug? ..maybe in version 19.X?.

    I’ve tried to replace the Vegas 10 “aviplug.dll” file provided to the Vegas 13 folder but as I’ve imagined it will not works (it crashes with and error message), so now I need to merge in piracy to download an illegal 32 Bit version of Sony Vegas Pro 13.0 to try the “aviplug.dll” file inside just only to solve a problem with a legal vegas 13 x64 product, this is STUPID.

    @Dave Lozinski
    I want to say Thankyou for your support to all the prople here with this problem, seems that you know to do better things as help/support than the Sony support Team.

    PS: And just for note, I do not have installed ugly codec-packs, I just have XVid codec, and FFDshow.

    Thanks for read.
