AVCHD camera files – timecode & mgmt issues
OK, I’m still getting up to speed on the gotchas of working with AVCHD .mts camera files.
Got a camera card that contains 2 projects. Want to separate the files, keep them with their respective projects, not lumped into an image of the original camera card (if att all possible) when transferred to edit filesystem.
Tried Clipwrap to put them into .mov wrappers. This has worked in the past with FCP. Seemed to work for PPro, but after trying to open a few, PPro locked up. (wouldn’t show video from the clip, wouldn’t play the one that video did appear, etc)
Copied the .mts files for the shots for the first project, opened in PPro, but found that timecode was no longer maintained. Guess that’s in some other supporting file.
Copied entire card structure, and PPro is very happy.
BUT, now I’m back to everything lumped into original card structure. WHAT I WANT is to separate files based on project.
Is this possible?
