Hi. I recorded audio on two separate channels: one with a radio mic and one with a boomed mic. I now want to get rid of the radio mic audio. What’s the best way to do this? Is it just a case of copying the boom audio and pasting it onto the second audio track? Or can/ should I just leave it on 1 audio track ? I have a feeling it’s neither but not sure of the issues when performing this task! Thanks in advance.

You can do either. You can elect to edit only one channel of audio to the timeline, you can pan tracks or mute them or delete them. Have you already dropped everything into the timeline?

Non-linear: all the time and nothing but.

Already in the timeline. So I’m guessing the easiest thing to do is delete the radio mic track, then make sure the boom mic audio is panned on centre?

Sure. You may have to unlink, or uncheck stereo pair if they came in that way.

[Simon Balch] “make sure the boom mic audio is panned on centre”

And, you’ll likely need to increase the level of that audio by 3 to 6 dB.
