ATTO 2 gig ram limit
Just spoke with the every so pleasant people at ATTO and they stated that the SCSI Mac Pro ram limit willnot be available until mid-October at the earliest.
Bummer!

The email I got from Atto Tech support also said October (which could mean November or December). At least the systems seem to be completely stable with only 2Gig of RAM in them. And that 4Gb FibreChannel is FAST !!!

I second that. We delivered our first MacPro based professional editing system yesterday. Had a few bumps in the road getting it ready but both AJA and Apple stepped up with the recent driver and firmware updates. It’s a great system, and even runs Windows (if you’re into that sort of thing – ha ha !)

Yeah, at the moment running in RAID 0 because I need to go in and made some Mode changes to get it over to RAID 3. Just need it operating at the moment so I just turned it on and striped it. Will switch to RAID 3 in a few weeks when this project is done.
