Another “clips won’t relink” plea for assistance…master clips retranscoded but won’t come online
Linked AMA to a bunch of F55 and F5 footage. Transcoded clips to DNXHD and edited. Project completed and transcoded footage deleted. Client needs revisions so linked to AMA files again and transcoded to DNXHD again, but original clips are not connecting back to this retranscoded media. Why not?
What’s the proper work flow?

This is a workflow guide I put together for a show I worked on a while back. This was built around the AMA capabilities of Media Composer 5. You probably don’t need to necessarily assign a tape name because now you can relink by source filename, but this is how I used to online shows via AMA. (This workflow was also designed for XDCAM discs, but the principle should be the same)
