Need help with alpha channel rendering. Its really frustrating me alot!!
I tried to render with any suggestion that I read in this forum, from using “evaluating transparency”, increasing the ray-depth and others methods unfortunately its never have the result. I track in and tilt down to up my camera toward the subject, but I found on my frame that when My camera go up suddenly the alpha goes wrong, its like inverted to the water. I attached 2 sample files here (the transition before the alpha channel goes wrong)

    (The Result I want)

(Alpha got inverted and I dont know how this happened.)

I really appreciate it, who could find the solution.
    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

You aren’t passing the camera through a layer or plane are you? Like something you might be using for aerial diffusion stuck partway back in the project?

is the camera interescting the ground plane on that frame? What you are describing is what happens when the camera goes inside some object and the alpha sort of turns inside-out.

the camera doesnt touch the ground, its floating and goes up after.

the man (subject) its ok, but the water suddenly get the alpha (not fully alpha) as well as the background turns black

    I just noticed something.
Is the first image you uploaded an alpha? Because I can see the rock within the water and I shouldn’t be able to.
I don’t have the arnold render so this may not be fair test. Cooking that bad frame right now to see what I get.
I thought it might have been the displacement on the water getting too high and the camera was in a wave for one frame but the displacement doesn’t look deep enough.
How long does a frame take with arnold vs the physical.? (more just to see if its worth getting – doing this with a two thread physical is painfull)

And now that I’ve had a look I see why I can see the rock – there is transparency on the water. You actually don’t need that if you aren’t going to see through the water and the waves are so low it’s not going to show. But it would speed up the render.

On frame 148 I can’t see the man yet. Which frame gave you the problem?

I can’t see the man yet because what I see in the view port is not what is showing up in the render. The camera is tilted down and only rendering water in frame 148 even though in the viewport the horizon in quite low.

I’m wondering if something is up with the follow spline effector. I’m going to try doing it with xpresso and see if it fixes the one frame camera tilt down i’m seeing here.
