    Hi,

I was having problems rendering my project in AFX because it kept autosaving the project. I unchecked this preference and it kept doing it. I tried a couple of times and the result was the same. I decided to reset afx settings with the keyboard shortcut and to my surprise when I tried opening my last project file it was gone along my work for the last 4 days! I’ve searched the drive and they are nowhere to be found. Any ideas on what happened or a way to recover these files? Thanks!

I doubt that Ae deleted the project files themselves, though if you cleared the preferences, it will have forgotten what files you touched recently.

I’d search your computer for all .AEP files, then sort the search by newest (or most recently modified) files first.

Thanks for the reply! I’ve tried searching for those files and are gone. All my files until 4 days ago are here. The weird thing is that both my saved files and the auto-saved files are gone.
