New 700 cards are easily available from numerous sources in Europe,
that’s not a problem. Price-wise, they’re cheaper than the crazy
pricing of this past summer, but still a bit too costly in most
locations. Used ones don’t yet go for what one might call bargain
prices, ie. not usefully less than new, though I suppose hunting
for a 6GB 780 would be a good win if one can find them. Only the
780 Ti would be quicker than two 580s though.

I mentioned the 900s just so the caveat is there, eg. in case the guy
suddenly decides to blow some savings. 😀

Still no news from Adobe supporting Maxwell GPU’s for CC AND CS6 !?

I doubt we’ll hear anything until the 980 Ti and Titan II are out. Wouldn’t really
make sense for Adobe to do an update only to have to do another when two more Maxwell
cards come out. Most likely NVIDIA’s waiting until AMD releases its 3K series.

Hope they will patch CS6 too.

So better i keep my Titan Blacks Cards. 🙂

I doubt you’d see a useful performance boost over multiple TBs. More useful to
some would be the drop in power consumption for long duration renders, if you
live somewhere that has costly electricity, though the tradeoff vs. the card
costs might not be worthwhile (depends how long you’d keep them). My Arion test
suggests a good 980 would be almost exactly the same speed as TB for AE, and of
course the TB does have a RAM advantage.

Are there new results with the GTX 970 or GTX 980 or are they still not prefectly supported?

No proper support yet; please read previous recent posts.

Take a look at this screenshot:

He says his GTX 970 is used through AP CS6 without problems?!

He’s talking about Photoshop. Can’t comment on that, I don’t use it.

Besides, being able to run up the app on a card is not the same as
the app having CUDA support of the right type that allows certain
app functions to operate as expected. OGL functions probably work
ok with a 900 card, but atm RayTrace3D in AE does not. Again, we
    need Maxwell CUDA V2 support.
