    Imagine there’s a picture of a lake.
With green screening you added yourself in front of that lake.
Can I make camera movements even though the whole scene is not 3D?
I mean how to change camera point of view if there’s nothing above/below/right/left?
I could move everything down to look everything from above but if I move everything down there’ll be a black part where scenery was cause that scenery has nothing there.
    Damn………… lol

[Joao Souza] “Can I make camera movements even though the whole scene is not 3D?”

The only move you can make is to zoom in. Otherwise you will run off of the edge of the video as you have explained. To do this, make both tracks (lake and talent) a child of an empty parent track. Then use Parent Motion on the parent track to move into both tracks at the same time.

    [Joao Souza] “what’s a still?”

He means a still image as an example of what you want.

    Example?
I just want to change camera point of view with any image/scene whatever, how could somebody doesn’t understand that and need an example? LOL

I could use a bigger image I mean, I could zoom in a little and start scene there then I could zoom out cause I wasn’t using the whole image but still it’s not moving point of view, it’s zooming in and out.
Obviously I can’t look sideways cause there are ano sides LOL but I thought there could be a trick, kind of a simulation which could create sides etc 😉
    Thanks John.

[Joao Souza] “how could somebody doesn’t understand that and need an example?”

Apparently Graham thought a visual example might clarify things for him. Not everyone can see things the same way.

[Joao Souza] “I could zoom in a little and start scene there then I could zoom out cause I wasn’t using the whole image but still it’s not moving point of view, it’s zooming in and out.”

You could also start zoomed in and then pan sideways but pan the background less than the foreground giving a parallax effect. That would suggest 3D but will be 2D.

    Something like this:

Actually there is way by using camera mapping but it’s almost impossible to do without a plug-in. There is a camera mapper plug-in for After Effects that will allow you to add geometry to a still image and then make it move.

But you would need After Effects for this plug-in.

I interpreted Graham’s post to mean he would be willing to take a shot at producing an example, using the OP’s own source material as a starting point. Maybe someone else might not understand his post the same way.

Given the difficulty sometimes of interpreting what people really mean in forum questions and answers, it seems the “How could anyone …” response is inappropriate. Imagine if someone were to answer “what’s a still” by saying “How could anyone on this forum not know what a still is?”

As far as a moving camera point of view is concerned, that requirement has not been spelled out at all. With a background still and a green screen foreground, your tricks come from panning, zooming, tilting (distorting a still to simulate a change of perspective) and relative motion of fore and back. Fancier tricks might come from lighting or focus variation. Even fancier tricks come from carving up an image so that different parts are panned-zoomed-tilted individually.

How far is someone willing to go to simulate camera movement? If the original still is not wide enough, some people might go to some photoshop effort to build out the image to one or both sides using elements already in the scene or elements taken from other photos shot near the same location at the same time. Sometimes the best photo compositions are not the best source material for video just because they leave no room for panning or zooming.

I wanted to apply my understanding of parallax and watercolour process of making layers so that when you’d come to make the camera move you’d have a natural shift of depth and perspective.

    I see, got your point.
So you don’t need me to send you a still, you could use whatever you want just to give me an example 😉
