Well, many of the individuals here earn their income from originating or using works that they have permission to use or is copyright free or pay not inconsiderable amounts of money to do so. Do remember, there are no “turned” blind-eyes in the litigation courts. That’s how it is.

In adjusting this Copyright piece – which is a rather lovely creative piece of artwork in itself – without permission would lay open many of those who’d come into contact with the piece to the lawyers, plus the more important issue of adjusting somebody’s hard thought through and worked-up Artwork. On that last point, I can think of at least one other Cow Member here who IS a fine artist, who’d seriously be interested in a third party adjusting his output, without his written permission. But that’s only my opinion.

OK, the Copyright issue out of the way, if you posted a piece that was the actual piece you were intending to use, then that would provide much needed technical indication to a Vegas Editor as to what is or is not possible. Put simply, adjusting a “found” piece is rather akin to attempting to do brain surgery, with twelve foot scalpels!

So, for these 2 reasons, do post the background that you’d be using, assuming you have generated this yourself or have written permissions to do so and the ability to post those same authenticated permissions here.

On a final note, I’m glad you’ve posted this request, as you have indicated the type of work and workflow you employ. Always useful to be have information as to how others work.
