May 25, 2013 at 11:58 amThose are interlace artifacts. Your source footage is interlaced and I noticed that you project is set to progressive. How do you have your Deinterlace Method set in your project properties? You should have it set to Blend Fields.

May 26, 2013 at 1:52 pmThe field order should match the field order of your source media. If you are working with SD DV video this should be Lower Field First. It’s it’s HD video it should probably be Upper Field First.
You really should start your project from one of the presets. It looks like you are working with PAL DV video and therefore you should be using the PAL DV (720×576, 25.000 fps) project preset. It will set everything up correctly for you but you will still need to check that the deinterlace method is set to Blend Fields.

May 27, 2013 at 12:01 pmYour project properties should match your footage. You should not change them for any particular render. Your deinterlace method should always be set to the default of Blend Fields unless you have a good reason to change it. For rendering…
[Thayalan Paramasawam] “1)My footage is 1920×1080 50fps progressive. For blu ray output, which field order should i select?None Progressive or Upper Field First. And how about deinterlace method?”
You should use Sony AVC with the Blu-ray 1920×1080-50i, 16 Mbps video stream template and don’t change anything. It will automatically select the correct Field Order which is Upper Field First for HD.
[Thayalan Paramasawam] “2)From footage 1920×1080,i pulldown to 720×576 for dvd output.which field order should i select?None Progressive or Lower Field First. And how about deinterlace method?”
You should use ManConcept MPEG-2 with the DVD Architect PAL Widescreen video stream template and don’t change anything. It will automatically select the correct Field Order which is Lower Field First for SD.

Sorry we don’t have any training for that particular camera. Here is our Camera Training page.
