[Thayalan Paramasawam] “My question is.What format should i render the 5 minit montage so the footage can match on my editing time line.Because i edit the montage in new project.”

I would render the footage to the same format as your project source. You can also use Sony MXF with the HD EX 1920×1080-50i template and change the Field Order to None (Progressive). That should be very high quality and playback smoothly in Vegas Pro.

[Thayalan Paramasawam] “I am very sorry sir,my english is very poor,i dont how to explain this probleum.”

Your English is very good. I can’t speak any other language so you are one language smarter than me. 😉

Yea, your computer is not going to know how to play MXF files in the media player or anything. I just drop them on the timeline but you can use Import as well. This is perfectly normal. You can render them to AVCHD or HDV or anything else you want. In the end you’re going to reduce the size by 5x to put them on a DVD so it really doesn’t matter much.
