    Hello,

Ask yourself this question, and I think you will better understand what we are doing with Andromeda.

Take a camera such as the ARRI D-20. It has a single imaging sensor, which at each pixel location captures ONE color, either Red or Green or Blue.

However, if you look at the specs of the D-20, it clearly states 4:4:4 output.

Now, how are they ~magically~ obtaining 4:4:4?

We have beta testers who are using this product right now. It’s not ‘vaporware’, we have several units in the field which all work over USB2.0.

And about why manufacturers wouldn’t do this, I think just about everyone reading this can think of at least 5 reasons why manufacturers don’t want to sell an uncompressed 4:4:4 camera cheap and outclass their $60k+ products.

Please don’t hesitate to ask any other questions, i’ll try to answer as best as I can.

    Cheers,
    Juan
