I’m editing a 720×480 29.97i TFF Vegas project and rendering at 720×480 29.97i TFF so I can do some deinterlacing in AviSynth. However, thsi one segment is always jumpy. For some reason, and I don’t know why this happens, but it seems like the segment is actually BFF even though the entire video is encoded in TFF. Whats the deal? I’ve forced TFF in the project. Is there any way to fix it without rendering the entire video again in BFF (which makes everything else jumpy)?

I did an ffmpeg encode for uploading the entire tape to archive.org and it seems to throw it off too. It’s always that one ID for some reason. Looks like the original recording does it too. Hmm.

Here’s a video of my issue.

Hi Ethan! This may assist: Right click on Event > Properties > Video Event Tab > and then select “Disable Resample” . And the Deal, I’m guessing, is VegasPro being very helpful.

    Hi Graham!

I always have resample disabled so that doesn’t work.
