Twixtor v8.1 Standalone adds support for variable frame rate footage

Phones record video in variable frame rate (VFR), which can create headaches when bringing footage into editing and compositing applications that expect a constant frame rate. The result is often stuttering, pausing, and other timing artifacts. Some apps manage to preserve every original frame but at the cost of audio sync. Neither workaround is ideal.

Twixtor v8.1 Standalone solves this with a smarter approach: when converting VFR footage to a constant frame rate, it intelligently samples between non-constant frame intervals using its optical flow and machine learning-powered inbetweening. The result is smooth, natural-looking video that stays perfectly in sync with the audio even when you’re not doing any slow-motion or speed ramping. And when you are applying speed changes, Twixtor 8.1 handles those correctly on VFR footage too.
