Yes someone was at my house, I described what was happening and he explained that likely I had extra video “hidden” by the in and out points and when I dragged the effect pulled out that hidden footage.

I was confused reading about “Handles” that terminology really does not make itself naturally clear.

“enough time (handles) on the ends of both clips ”

This made the rest of what I read understandable.
