I’m not by that machine right now, but I’d be willing to bet that you just hit the nail on the head. The last 2 images that did that had white backgrounds. Thanks for the heads-up! I’ll remember that next time.

    Also, I just noticed this…
I am dissolving into the clip using the opacity settings in the Effects Controls box. If I go frame by frame, I can tell that the edges look straight at the beginning of the dissolve, but the closer it gets to 100% the more warped it looks at the top of the logo. Then it straightens back up when I dissolve out.

It said .9, so I changed it to 1.0, but that didn’t seem to work.

    720×480 NTSC

    The background is 720×480
    The logo is 492×122

The logo is the one that is squeezing. I always use the same project settings.

well, my problem was that what sounded OK in my PC speakers (and even on the Panasonic Video Monitor) were peaking when I looked at the levels in Sound Forge. Even though they weren’t drastic peaks, they were peaks none the less. I guess the transcoding process doesn’t take kindly to peaks at all. I compressed and normalized the audio file and then looked for peaks in the new file before I re-authored it. Everything came out great.

Nevermind. I’m an idiot. I figured it out. 🙂
