Yep – this mpeg 2 thing blows pretty bad…It does look like we are the only 3 with this specific problem – but it looks like some others are having trouble rendering anything in V6…. Of course this doesn’t do anything to solve the problem…

Except for the mpeg 2 thing Vegas 6 has worked great for me – but of course mpeg 2 is pretty figgin’ important! Well see what a clean re-install of XP does – this is pretty painful though, windows update is just torture – thank god for DSL!

I’ve got the same problem – on two different computers. I have done everything I can think of (and everything Sony support has told me to do) and still get this very error message when trying to render to mpeg 2 using 5d – 5b worked fine.

I am very anxiously awaiting Vegas 6 – I sure hope this issue is addressed.

Actually I’ve been having the same problem rendering to mpeg 2 as well. The Mainconcept encoder does both (m2t and mpeg 2)and it got horked up somehow. So far I know 3 people, myself included that are having this problem – it’s interesting but man, I got no solution….

I actually had a very nice conversation with Sony tech support – great guys and very helpful but they sure could not reproduce the issue. It seems like a little ghost in the machine – Hopefully Vegas 6 will fix this bugger – only 12 more days. Man I can’t wait!
