Yeah, I just saw (and answered) your post.

Basically the program stops do respond, the screen gets that whitey aspect and the mouse cursor become that forever turning thing. I said that the preview continues, but just now I realized that I didn’t explain it right. Actually the preview do NOT continues, just the sound keep playing (I just fixed my OP).

Anyway, I tried the CONTROL+ALT+DEL and CANCEL but it didn’t work for me (didn’t recover the program).

I cannot reproduce the error in ANY file, but I noticed that I can reproduce it any time I want in a file that already had happened this. Probably it has to have a certain amount of layers and cuts and edits IDK.

I am not considering upgrade my Windows. I may try a newer version of VP. However, I figured that since I do NOT use Auto-Ripple or at least don’t use it while playing the time-line the problem won’t happen.

I thought on the green screen because I didn’t know that was possible to export footage with transparent background. I am aware about alpha channel but I thought that it was restricted to still images… Good to know that they are available on video too!

Question: does it work only for AVI or MP4 also supports this feature?

Hey François!

Thank you for the follow up. Yeah, I have noticed that I got such similar issue when using green screen and chroma key effect. I will try to reboot my computer before to render my videos next time. By the way, my equipment is too much more modest than yours: a four years old i5 with 8GB under W7 and not dedicated video card.
