    Also, you have to put a ground (a plane or the ground) and use the same material than background.
    Instead of to let uvw, you put frontal.
    You add the render tag in the ground object and in the tag you check compose with the background (I don’t know the exactly term cause my C4D is in french) and uncheck “proper shadows” (it’s above compose with the background).

    That’s all !

    Hi, I don’t know if it will be helpful but, to animated a background in Cinema4, you have to put a film sequence or the first image of a image sequence (in png, jpeg…) in the Color chanel. When C4D ask you if you want to import the image say “no” !
    Then, you click to the little image (under texture) and you click on calculate and c4d will put the first frame and the last frame alone !
    Put the material in the background objet and play the time line !

    Your background will be transfomed in a movie sequence.

    That’s all !
