April 30, 2012 at 1:14 am in reply to: Problem reproducing video in VEGAS… what’s wrong with the codec?Okay, transcoding the files to other format is not a problem. The problem I will have with this is I’ll get bigger files, but well, for editing, that isn’t also a problem.
My problem comes when the final editing is done and I want to make the finale video. In that moment, yes, I need high compression…
why? because I want to upload the files to youtube…
This format x264vfw ffmpeg is absolutely magic… because I’ve recorded a whole screen in HD Ready (1280 x 720 High Definition) 1 hour of video is about 260 MB only! the supercompression this format gives you is absolutely wonderful!
So… let’s imagine I have the compressed files and I transcode them to another format… I get bigger files, I edit them in VEGAS… and now I want to make the final video. I will also get a big file in VEGAS… is there anyway to use another method or utility to give the files again the original compression ratio…
??? anyway to compress using x264vfw ffmpeg? -

I HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION, AND I’M SHARING IT:
My BorisRED did not integrate well in VEGAS for that reason I did not see it inside.
Why? because I installed the plugin incorrectly.
The problem is that when you install BorisRED you must select CUSTOM INSTALLATION and never complete installation.
Why? because BorisRED by default install the plugins for Adobe Premiere CS5 and not for Vegas
If you had BorisRED already installed and you don’t see it inside VEGAS, then uninstall it, and install it always with CUSTOM INSTALLATION.
The solution is simple, just during the installation process, select custom, and you’ll see the components to be installed. Mark on the part of the Vegas Plugin to be installed in the hard disk, and you’re done.
If you have Vegas 11 and you see BorisRED is telling you to install the VEGAS 10 plugin, don’t worry, it works fine for VEGAS 11 and you’ll see it inside VEGAS.
Where is the plugin available?
In the transitions place in VEGAS
What name has the plugin exactly to locate it?

August 22, 2011 at 10:28 pm in reply to: SONY VEGAS 10 – Bad render quality and black margins on the right and left sidesthis plugin solves also the problem of the black margins?
the rendered videos are very heavy? or are well optimized with good quality?
I had problems of pixelated pictures using the Main Concept AVC / ACC (*.mp4), this format produce very optimized videos, when played in a normal player, like VLC Media Player or Windows Media Player, the quality it’s outstanding, but when these videos are uploaded to Youtube, the conversion youtube make, it’s not so good and the video present a lot of pixel errors, etc.
So I’m wondering if this plugin “kill two birds with one stone” and solve both problems, the black margin problem and also the render quality problem.
Thanks in advance. -
