    Hi,

I would definitly recommend to put the music track in the primary timeline and add all the videoclips as connected clips. Autosyncing longer clips works pretty well with grooveorientated music.
Adding short snippets Is a little harder to do. I set markers in the clip in the browser and in the musictrack in the timeline then connect the clip to have it roughly in place and nudge it around with the , and . keys.
    till its in sync.
    Hope that helps.

I can also confirm this behaviour on 10.0.1,10.7.1.
It´s not happening on my 10.0.1, 10.6.8 setup.

[Randall Packer] “I wonder why they did this?”

    I can only guess.
Since there are no audiotracks anyway, which one could assign to different outputs, it makes
sense to setup the audiorouting on systemlevel.

    hi,

I´m new to this forum. I´m from Austria and no native speaker.
So please be patient. i´m on the german version of OS X. So I´ll give it a try.
Maybe I don´t use the correct english terms.

I´m using the RME Fireface. Working with the Apogee should be close.
In the system preferences open the sound-panel. select your apogee interface as your output and input device.
Then open the Audio-Midi utility programm. Select your apogee interface.
In the down-right corner there should be a “speaker configuration” button. Press the button then select “more channels”. change from stereo to 5.1 or whatever you need. Now you can route different channels to different speakers.
    does that make sense?

    Hope it helps.
    Greetings from Austria
