I feel strongly that you have either a system problem or a program problem … I just downloaded a 2.3 gig wave and don’t have any problem doing multiple edits … The one thing that really gives me reason for pause is that you have other functions greyed out … What are your computer specs? I would first check your system … Go to OPTIONS > SETTINGS > SYSTEM check to make sure that your temp files are set to the largest drives you have on your computer with the largest drive as your first temp folder and your second largest as the secondary temp and that you have ample room on your system reserve, I would use a min of 500 megs … I have been using this program for 8+ years, (used to be cool edit pro) and have never incountered this problem before … I strongly suggest you contact Adobe if all else fails … Please send the spec’s of your computer, (ram and AVALIBLE HARD DRIVE SPACE) if you don’t have much ram or hard drive this might cause the problem ……… WILLIE

Ron,
Make sure nothing is highlighted then RIGHT click on the right side of the track you would like to move now select SELECT ALL CLIPS IN TRACK, this will highlight them all, now making sure everything is LOCKED IN TIME move your cursor over the track, right click and you can move all the clips wherever you would like them … If you have a lot of small clips I find that it is better to do a mixdown of that track … What you need to do is again SELECT ALL CLIPS IN TRACK then go to an empty track and right click MIXDOWN TO TRACK > SELECTED AUDIO CLIPS … This gives you a mixdown that is one complete track and is much easier to deal with … Remember to reset anything that is not at 0 on the track such as pan, or vol BEFORE you do the mixdown … You can always reset, but for me I like to do these mixdowns as close to the original as possible … Hope this helps, if you have any other questions or need some clarification I will check this site again later this evening …….. I would say there is something wrong with the install … Try uninstalling and then reinstalling … As long as it’s a readable file extension it doesn’t matter how many times you edit it using the same function before saving …………. WILLIE

No, as far I I know Audition doesn’t have a timed record feature …… WILLIE

Larry,
Did you try to re-insert the wave from the file it was saved to? On the session side go to INSERT > AUDIO … I have never had this happen before so I am at a bit of a loss ……… WILLIE

In my humble opinion I feel Audition processes Audio much better than Pre Pro … If you don’t have the program you would be money ahead to purchase it instead of trying to buy just VST filters for Pre Pro ………. WILLIE

I just listened to your sample and where there isn’t any voice you can simple amplify by -300 DB and the static will be gone … The static over the voice is another and matter and in all probability impossible to remove without losing the voice and or making it sound like it’s in a rain barrel … If you look at the tutorial “AUDIO SECRETS part one” from Aug 2Nd it will explain the steps you need to go through to remove the noise … Good luck I hope you can recover most of it … If you need more help you can always E-mail me an MP 3 sample of a minute or so and I will see what I can do … Whatever voice you do recover will be never sound as good as the unaffected audio … Take the noise out in small pieces like starting at 60%, then the next time go to 50% … WILLIE
