Yes, you can listen to tracks already recorded while recording a new track, if you can’t then check your output settings located in OPTIONS > DEVICE ORDER … I think it would benefit you to read the section of the help file dealing with recording a multi track session, I am sure it would answer most of your questions and anything it doesn’t cover I can help you with …………… WILLIE

Just curious, if things were good with the M audio devise why are you not using it anymore? I would do a search and make sure there are no lingering files from the devise then unistall and reinstall 2.0 it’s worth a shot … If you would like a copy of 1.5, E-mail me at loganonestudio@aol.com and I will help you out … WILLIE

It seems that if you did an install on 2 different systems with the same results I am thinking software and or the audio cards on the motherboards have latency issues, this would explained why it worked with the firewire solo … Do you have access to a copy of Audition 1.5? Another way to go is if you have a blaster card that you can install in your computer, I know this won’t help the laptop issue but it may explain it ………… WILLIE

I need to know if the original tape has drop outs or did you get the drops when you captured it in your video program? Once I have this info I may be able to better help ……… WILLIE

The only place you can see video is when you import it into a session but you won’t be able to watch it and edit in 5.1 unless you boot your video through another source …… WILLIE

I don’t work with 1.5 but here is how you get it to cross the speakers … Bring the wave you want to cross into the edit side move the pointer to the top of the top wave (left)and click on it this will allow you to edit just this channel now go to EFFECT > AMPLITUDE > AMPLIFY/FADE > FADE OUT now repeat for the bottom or right track only this time do a FADE IN … Your fades are defaults in your FAVORITES TAB as well just remember to select the the side of the wave that you want to fade … Once you have it passing from left to right or visa versa you should be able to adjust it in surround sound …….. WILLIE
