Barry – thanks for the tips.

Shane – I would like to keep as much of a film look as possible so I would like to keep it at 1080p 23.98.

After seeing the specs from the DP:

“we’ll be shoot 1080.24P. your footage will end up as 1080, 30i”

I’m assuming he means 1080i60??? I’m not sure about this so forgive my ignorance but can you capture 1080p 23.98 footage from the P2 cards onto a drive and remain 23.98? I’m just curious why he is putting it on a drive at 30 when I can edit on a 23.98 timeline in FCP, less stress on the processor. Like I said not sure, just asking.

I will not be delivering, I don’t have the hardware or the cash to drop right now for it, that will be a future buy. What I will be doing is upon completion of the edit I will hand a drive over to a post house to master to a DigiBeta probably.
