Hi Jeremy,

The clips are all:

mp4
1280 x 720
50 fps
Alpha = None
Field Order = Upper field first, AVC

The audio for each file is: 48,000 HZ

Just to clarify:

After my HD PVR rendered the footage from my TV as an MP4, I looked back on the footage and found that it was all in sync and everything was fine. I then went through the footage and chose the clips that I wanted to keep. For example, from 10 minutes of footage, I might only need 10 seconds. So, using Vegas (which worked fine for this task), I chose which clips I wanted and exported them as MP4s to a new folder. I’ve checked the individual clips and they are all playing fine via Windows Media Player. So, I started up a new project in Vegas so that I could put all of these clips together. I imported the clips, and this is where I’ve noticed the problem. After I import a clip, I’ve noticed that it has been cut short and that the audio is out of sync. It’s strange that everything was working fine up until a few days ago.

Hi Jeremy,

I recorded these clips with a HD PVR capture card. It basically just captured what was on my TV and stored it on my computer in a MP4 format. The clips that were recorded play fine and the audio/video is in sync. However, when I import the clips, the sound is playing 2 seconds ahead of the video and for some reason, it’s as if the video is shortened (basically, the actual clip is ending before it should, even though it plays in full and in sync through Windows Media Player).

I thought about re-syncing the audio, but I have about 30 different clips in one project and in the future, I’ll probably have to edit even more, so it’ll have to be a last resort for me.
