Thanks again.

September 11, 2009 at 3:17 pm in reply to: Displaying original embedded timecode via timecode plug-in and expressionCheers Dan.
Would that be along the lines of setting up 4 variables:
h = 01
m = 23
s = 12
f = 05then multiplying them up
frameNumber = h*90000 + m*1500 + s*25 + f
I’m sorry to be asking this question, but what would the script look like for this?
Cheers.

September 11, 2009 at 2:48 pm in reply to: how to “wiggle” horizontal position only??use this:
[wiggle(5,20)[0],position[1]]
if you had an object in 3D space and wanted to wiggle z only, then it would look like this:
[position[0],position[1],wiggle(1,200)[2]]

Thanks guys – both excellent suggestions! Looking forward to trying that script.
Cheers.

Cheers Adam.
That bit of info will cut down on the (already substantial) tail chasing I’ve been doing over the last couple of days!
Thanks again.

Hi Adam, thanks for your reply.
>If you want to use the same bump on the decal, just the bump channel from the wood texture and paste it into the decal texture.
Hmm, the problem is that the wood procedural has no bump channel! This is why I’m asking about whether or not it’s possible to copy an entire existing procedural into a layer shader…
I’m still not convinced that stacking the materials will look any good. I’ll try it anyway, as I’m not moving forward with the procedural/layer method at all. Pff. I love 3D. I hate 3D.
Cheers anyway, man. Appreciated!

January 15, 2007 at 8:41 am in reply to: Checking to see which ‘side’ of a layer the camera’s seeing…Thanks Yikes.
I did search for a while, but my terms must’ve been off mark. Just found the ‘solve-all one line piece of code’ –
if (toCompVec([0, 0, 1])[2] > 0 ) value else 100
Once again (after my ramble) I’m amazed at how succinct the expression is. Amazing.
Thanks again.

August 25, 2006 at 6:50 pm in reply to: Using expressions to create a bouncy flash-like mouse trail effectCheers for having a look at this for me yikes.
Have been (and still am a bit…) up against it, so I won’t get a chance to have a proper look at your expressions in action until early on next week. for now, dan’s expressions you pointed me towards have done the trick.
Thanks for your help mate!
