  • Since things worked perfectly in the past, take one of your old mkv files and convert it to mp4 again as you have done in the past. Then play the mp4 file. If it plays then you can assume that handbrake and ffmpeg are not the problem. Let us know what happened.

    OK, I will try using the mp4 format.
    Do you happen to know if qt-faststart will work with MP4 files?

    I would like to make the avi file accessible on the Web. I would like to have the video start playing before the file is fully downloaded and I would like to have file compressed as possible consistent with reasonable display.
