Another way:
Double click on the text layer, Select Emer and Choose Red color from the Character Panel. Now Select Gency and choose Black color from the Character Panel.

AFAIK you are thinking in the right way. The Resolution drop-down menu in composition panel affects only the preview of video we see or Standard Preview and Resolution drop-down menu in the Preview Panel affects the RAM preview. Though none of them affects the final output.

In your Project Panel, Type ” missing ” in the search bar. This will search the missing files in your project. You will see small rainbow colored icons and name of the clip will appear italicized. Now select the file, Right click on it and select Reveal in Composition.
This will let you know from which composition, your files are missing.
If your final comp is not affected by these files as you have said then you can remove them.

H264 encoder do interframe(or temporal) compression. I would suggest to use Media Encoder for rendering.

I have tried the Zoom part by linking the opacity of both shadow layers to that of Adjustment layer.
