    UPDATE:

The cd has no “Install Audio Content 2” when it is inserted in either computer.

It is like this on all CD’s.

But the Application works. Could I take the content and transfer it onto the macbook from the iMac? Would this get attached somehow or would I have to do it manually?

Is this a problem with the disks or is it cause I am installing on 2 computers…?

At least it works for now, but would be good to at least have to music that come with Soundtrack.

    Thanks!

Final Cut aside, can you hook up both computers together? For instance work in photoshop or motion on the macbook and be able to send exported files to the iMac running FCP via firewire, etc. Basically freeing up workload on both computers? That’s kind of what I was asking, no real need to have FCP open 2 at a time.

    Thanks!

If there is anything I should know please tell me!!!!! That a lot of $$$. Just might have to gift wrap it for myself if I get it. It’ll be fun!

So I think I found the solution for me and after this exports I am hoping I can reconnect my sub clips to the converted main clip.

I conformed in cinema tools to 30p then brought into a 30p timeline – retimed to 80% -exported to QTmovie-reimported and like I said hopefully after this exports I can reconnect my subclips…if this works I’ll only have to do this 5 times!

tried a bunch of exports from FCP- looking the best from the 24p sequense to straight QT movie but still not as smooth as when it plays in FCP.

    Hey John,

    Thanks for the reply.

Is there another way to convert without compressor? Mine is not working for some reason.
Do you think that my logged sub clips will still be valid if I convert the files?

    Thanks
